Scene 4 of Marvin Love’s Digital Playground Feature Drops
Known for being one of the nicest directors in adult with the foreign crew and the best professional to work with on your first industry scene, multi-award-winning director Marvin Love is one of Aylo’s go-to directors. The fourth and final episode of Digital Playground’s romcom “Payback’s a Bitch” is bittersweet for Marvin, and he’s chronicling the making of it.
All four episodes of Digital Playground’s “Payback’s a Bitch” starring Kira Noir, Chanel Camryn, Jasmine Sherni, Lexington Steele, Ricky Johnson, Alex Mack, and Zane Walker are now available on the flagship site. Inspired by Vivian Fox’s character in “Two Can Play That Game,” you find yourself rooting for the anti-hero Addison (played by Kira Noir). The storytelling element on top of the comedy, with narration by Addison, lets the viewer come along for a revenge journey of dating her ex’s dad, marrying him, and waiting for him to die so she could get her hands on his money. At the end of Episode 4, Addison promises us she’ll be back like every relentless ex you hope never to see again, but you do.
With an all-star cast he knew, Marvin found it easy to direct them since he knew their comedic ranges. The hardest part was nailing the comedic beats when editing and determining how the action landed and if it was enough to be a comedy. Marvin knew anything comedic could also be sexually charged and was able to pull that off. Although it was a lot of work to make his vision a reality, Marvin did it.
Casting a legend like Lexington Steele in one of the major roles was a dream of Marvin’s as far back as being a young man in Nigeria watching Lex in porn clips he traded with his friends. Once Lex said his first lines, Marvin knew he cast the character of Noah perfectly.
“I’m really pleased with this movie. I recommended everyone to watch ‘Two Can Play That Game’ before watching ‘Payback’s a Bitch’ so they can see where my inspiration came from and maybe even have a deeper understanding of the characters in my feature. The cast was solid! It was great to direct Ricky; he’s hilarious. Jasmine starred in her first feature and did an incredible job. Chanel was also hilarious, and Zane had a very cool entrance. Everyone brought their A-Game to set, and I hope this feature will rack up a lot of nominations and wins,” says Marvin Love.
