Sex Worker Advocate Savannah Sly Shares Experiences, Advice for Organizers
SEATTLE, Wash. –Elevate, presented by Streamate, has announced they have wrapped up 2024 with a December collaboration featuring Savannah Sly, the founder and co-director of New Moon Network.
Recently elected to the board of directors for the Free Speech Coalition, Sly has “extensive connections within the realms of sex work and sex worker advocacy,” Elevate noted in announcing the upcoming collaboration.
“Drawing from her personal journey in various facets of sex work since the age of 18, Savannah melds her background with a deep comprehension of the real-life challenges faced by individuals to tackle issues such as criminalization, surveillance, discrimination, and societal stigma,” Elevate added.
Savannah currently serves on the global steering committee of the Sex Work Donor Collaborative and also is a board member of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, described in the announcement as “the sole organization in the US dedicated to upholding sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.”
Savannah previously served as President of the board of Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) USA and was involved in organizing for SWOP’s Seattle chapter. She has also contributed to initiatives at the Gender Justice League, ACLU of WA, and grassroots efforts focused on sex work.

The collaboration between Savannah Sly and Elevate features “a candid one-on-one interview hosted by Vanessa Eve and directed by feminist porn filmmaker Inka Winter.” Elevate noted in the announcement.
“This insightful conversation delves into the inextricable connections between various adult industry sectors, Savannah’s tireless advocacy for sex worker rights, including mainstream philanthropic spaces, and a deeply personal glimpse into her upbringing in the scenic landscapes of New England,” Elevate added.
Savannah also shares “invaluable insights and practical advice for sex work organizers and advocates” through a special pre-recorded Q&A session titled “Powerful Advice for Sex Work Organizers and Advocates.”
