ROMANIA — Now that Eastern Europe is producing and contributing to an increasing amount of intentionally erotic material, it’s no secret that its women are hot, hot, hot. According to Romanian authorities, however, some of them are a bit too sexy for their own good.Officials in Iasi, in central Romania, are shocked by a recent wave of identification photos that they believe push the limits of decency – and they want things to change.

At issue are ID photos that police chiefs claim leave little to the imagination, at least by ID photo standards.

“We had many cases when ladies came wearing very sexy tops so that, from the picture, you believe she’s naked,” explains police chief Viorel Scatura. “But this is official ID, so it should be decent.”

In order to raise the standards of photo ID decency, authorities now insist that women cover up or live without their identification cards.
