Sara Jay: ‘I Am Not Dead!’
By Peter Berton
MIAMI – Echoing the immortal words of Mark Twain, adult performer Sara Jay made the media rounds on Thursday with the statement, “Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”
Earlier in the week, an Egyptian website reported that Jay died in an early-morning car accident. The false news spread across the web with remarkable speed, soon infecting social media and popular adult industry hangouts.
“I am not dead!” Jay said Thursday afternoon. “There was no car accident. I just celebrated my birthday and plan on being alive enough to shoot more porn in 2014.”
Although touched by fans’ and colleagues’ outpouring of grief, Jay couldn’t hide a cheeky amusement about the misinformation.
“I just put out a new movie, Sara Jay in Heat 2, and I have a couple of award nominations coming up,” she said, laughing. “It really would be bad timing to kick the bucket.”
Lest anyone be tempted to believe her agent or webmaster is attempting to pull a con or is ill-informed, Jay scheduled a special live, online appearance Thursday night. Set to begin at 8 p.m. ET on her website, SaraJay.com, the I Am Not Dead Camshow should remove all doubt about the busty, vivacious performer’s existence.
“Don’t believe I’m not dead?” Jay asked. “Come see for yourself. I still have a pulse.”
Jay’s website is part of the Vette Nation Army and may be promoted through the Sticky Dollars affiliate program, which pays a 50-percent recurring revenue share.
