Sally Mae is Back in “The Revenge of the Twin Dragons”
MONTREAL – When you’re as badass as Sally Mae, the titular character from the award-winning 2020 ‘70s blaxploitation homage, Sweet Sweet Sally Mae, once simply isn’t enough.
Sally is back in Adult Time’s sequel to the 2020 hit, Sally Mae: The Revenge of the Twin Dragons, with Ana Foxxx reprising her role as the ass-kicking, name-taking Sally. Directed by Ricky Greenwood, the sequel also features Misty Stone (“Polly”), Isiah Maxwell (“Trevor”, the karate sensei), along with new cast members Alina Ali, Cali Caliente, Scotty P and Thriller.
“Shooting Sally Mae was absolutely so sick,” said Alina Ali, who plays “Bella” in the sequel. “I got to wear my big, chunky ‘break your neck’ boots and I am so happy about it!”
“Ricky Greenwood is so fun to shoot with,” Alina said, adding with a wink that “Isaiah is always a pleasure.”
In The Revenge of the Twin Dragons, Sally finds herself in the crosshairs of a murder mystery when gang warfare breaks out and the notorious Blackground family appears to be the target. This time around, Sally Mae will exact her vengeance – once and for all.
Adult Time Director of Marketing Frank Stacy noted that this time around, the company had a lot more involvement in the development of the film and its storyline than with the 2020 release.
“Adult Time acted primarily as a distribution platform for Ricky’s first ‘Sally Mae’ film, for which we had acquired the rights,” Stacy explained. “This time around, we were involved from the get-go, and we are really pleased with the end product. This is a very unique project that we’re sure fans will enjoy!”
Greenwood added that after the first film closed with “a bit of a cliffhanger”, Adult Time wanted to bring Sally Mae back and “give her a satisfying, more complex plotline with plenty of action-packed sequences,” noting that the sequel offers more of a comedic flair and greater use of both special effects and fight scenes to “amp up the intensity and build on the momentum we created two years ago.”
