Rocks-Off to Debut Psychedelic ’60s Vibes
KETTERING, England – During the summer of 1967, as many as 100,000 people converged on San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district in a phenomenon that came to be known as the Summer of Love. There was no real agenda except to “be one with the universe;” to promote peaceful assembly and make a counterculture statement. Timothy Leary spoke his now-famous phrase “turn on, tune in, drop out,” and the words became a defining slogan for the hippie generation.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the non-event, and U.K.-based pleasure product manufacturer Rocks-Off has created a new vibrator collection that embodies the generation’s psychedelic spirit. The collection will be unveiled during the ANME Founders adult novelties trade show, set to take place July 15-17 at the Marriott Burbank Airport hotel in Los Angeles.
The Summer of Love vibes come in three “hippie chic” designs: Be My Bo-Ho, California Dreamin’ and Groovy Baby.
The company also plans to showcase its new Charmingly Seductive line. According to promotional materials, “styles range from cute to classic.”
