SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — It was so much fun robbing the Very Intimate Pleasures adult shop the first time that the armed thieves may well have come back for a second full body fondle. According to the Marin Independent Journal, it was less than a month ago that the San Rafael shop had its first late night encounter with two men brandishing firearms and eager to make the contents of both the cash register and the employee’s handbags their own.

During that 10:44 p.m. visit, the robbers – both with “medium skin tone,” weighing about 160 pounds and in their early to mid 20s – pulled white handkerchiefs over their lower faces and demanded cash, a wallet and a purse from the employees and customers they had forced to the floor.

“It was a little unnerving,” an employee told the paper, “but it was over pretty fast, so I wasn’t all that bothered. But with the second incident, it’s of increasing concern.”

The “second incident” took place at the nearly civilized hour of 8:50 pm on a Sunday. This time the duo focused on the till and two shop employees, escaping with cash and a purse.

Having just celebrated its fifth anniversary, the store’s staff met on Tuesday to discuss ways to boost security. None of the employees who were working during the first robbery were on duty during the second and no injuries have been reported.
