What device functions as a personal assistant, vocal training tool, vibrating music device and clitoral massager?
The Siri 2 by LELO.
Let’s back up the bus and let me explain.
In February 2010, Apple came out with Siri, an intelligent “personal assistant” that “uses a language interface to answer questions, make recommendations and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services.” But, LELO already had a product on the market called Siri, a very sexy “personal assistant” that had been launched a full year before. Here’s an amusing comparison of the two products:
Then, in 2013, University of Alberta drama professor David Ley developed the “Vibrant Voice Technique,” using the original Siri as a tool to “enhances vocal resonance and reduce the muscle tension that can lead to vocal fatigue.” Imagine using a vibrator meant for masturbation to enhance vocal training. A bit of a strange concept, but that’s what they did. Go here to watch a video about that.
Ley’s team didn’t actually recommend the Siri for the vocal massage technique, however, because of “the exponential increase in power of this device.” In other words, it’s way too strong.
This is great news for clits. Not so great for singers.
If you tried the original Siri when it first came out (my review) then you may have thought, “Yes, nice little vibe, more powerful than Lelo’s Nea and Lily, for sure, but doesn’t exactly blow my mind or give me earth-shattering orgasms.” In fact, I read more disappointing reviews than positive ones for the original Siri.
Back to the drawing board…
What’s new? Powerful vibrations. Siri 2 offers LELO’s strongest vibrations ever for a handheld massager, which LELO claims is 100 percent more powerful than the original. I don’t know if that is true or not, but the vibrations are much deeper, more penetrating, and yes, stronger. In fact, it is the strongest small massager of this kind that I have tried so far in seven years of reviewing sex toys.
Eight settings inspired by music include classical (steady vibration), reggae (slow pulsing), rumba (rapid pulsing), folk (escalating pattern), hip-hop (rapid escalations), soul (variations), techno (very fast) and jazz (various pulses and escalations combined) so you can get jiggy with it.
An ambient sound control function allows Siri 2 to respond to ambient noise including music, voices, police sirens, dogs barking, blood-curdling screams and ’80s porn music. However, the sound source must be fairly close for the feature to work well. It’s interesting, although probably unnecessary. Maybe LELO thought the feature was a good add-on for vocal training?
Siri 2 is waterproof. Yes, you can take it into the tub, shower, Jacuzzi, lake, beach, pool and even drop it in the toilet (shit happens), and it won’t ruin your vibe. Good to know.
Charge the Siri 2 with its USB charger for about two hours for two hours’ worth of use. The “on” button turns the vibe on and increases power, while the “minus” button reduces power. Use the arrow buttons to cycle through the musical settings, and press both arrows at once to turn on the ambient sound function. All the buttons are recessed and glow when in use, so you can use it in the dark.
The Siri 2 is a small, handheld massager that is great for vulva and clitoral stimulation. It is made of ABS plastic and resonates vibrations very well. The material is easy to keep clean, totally body-safe and of high-quality design. The product omes nicely packaged in a little black box with charger, satin storage pouch, warranty and instruction manual.
Thank you to LELO for providing the SIRI 2 for review.
