Reporo Launches Gay Network, Names Stricklin VP
YNOT – Reporo is not a believer in “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” In fact, as far as the adult mobile ad network is concerned, the more people talking about gay sex, the better.
The company has launched what it says is the industry’s first mobile ad network devoted to websites offering gay adult entertainment. To support the new endeavor, Reporo hired adult industry veteran and gay market specialist Rainey Stricklin as vice president for the global gay market.
“Launching a mobile ad network for the gay market has always been a goal of ours, especially when we visit events like Phoenix [Forum] and see the strength of the community,” Chief Executive Officer Kieran O’Keeffe said. “Hiring a motivated expert and manager like Rainey allows us to create the best product and team. We hope the gay market likes what we have to offer.”
Stricklin recently returned to the U.S. after completing a six-week training session at Reporo’s London headquarters.
“Creating and managing the gay network for Reporo is a dream job for me,” she said. “Gay mobile has been severely under-serviced in the adult industry until now. Our goal is to bring to the gay market the same level of quality and service that [straight] mobile traffic-buyers and owners have come to expect from Reporo.”
Reporo Gay brings publishers and advertisers together in a blind cost-per-click network. As a whole, the network serves more than 18 billion impressions per month via banners, text ads, interstitials and pop-unders, O’Keeffe said. Contextual keyword targeting and frequency capping help both sides of the advertising equation manage their return on investment.
“Initial response to the new gay offering has been tremendous,” Stricklin said. “Advertisers are excited to be able to better target their gay campaigns, and publishers are thrilled to finally have a network that serves only gay advertising, thereby increasing click-through rates and profitability.”
Reporo is not a self-service platform, she explained. The company’s account managers work closely with clients to ensure publishers are most effectively monetizing their traffic and advertisers are meeting their goals.
Headquartered in London, Reporo maintains specifically trained divisions serving Europe, South Africa, India, the Philippines, Latin America, Japan, the U.S. and the global gay market.
