YNOT – Website reviews organization RabbitsReviews on Tuesday announced the winners of the 2012 Rabbit’s Innovation and Site Excellence Awards. True to the criteria set forth three years ago for the inaugural edition of the awards, then known as Rabbit’s Best of the Web, winners encompass few of the usual suspects. For the most part, this year’s awards went to sites that may not be on everyone’s radar … yet.

According to RabbitsReviews Director of Marketing Doug Evans, votes in the various categories were submitted by in-house reviewers who have spent years evaluating thousands of adult pay sites. Normally reviews in the directory weigh heavily in favor of content amounts and technical elements. The RISE Awards, on the other hand, look at a different set of criteria.

“We realize there are many ways to rate porn, and our criteria don’t always get to the root of what a fan of a particular category really wants to know,” Evans said. “Each year we set aside a week and put our most experienced heads together to see if we can acknowledge sites that may not be getting the recognition they deserve.”
