Quentin Tarantino Thinks Tera Patrick is a Killer Pussycat
NEW YORK, NY — Tera Patrick wasn’t even born when Russ Meyer released his infamous homage to busty women, fast cars, and violence – but if multiple Academy Award winning director Quentin Tarantino has anything to say about it, she’ll be kicking ass and taking names as Varla, the bloodthirsty stripper star of his upcoming Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! remake.According to the New York Times “Page Six” column, an unnamed source close to Tarantino insists that “Quentin loves her – and she’s a dead ringer for original star, Tura Satana.”
Like Satana, who was born in Hokkaido, Japan and once held the title of Miss Japan Beautiful, the half-Thai Patrick shares a mixed Asian heritage. But will nearly 74-year-old Satana, who owns the rights to her likeness and image, be as wild about Patrick as the porn star is about taking on Satana’s most famous role?
The IMDB page for Tura Luna Pascual Yamaguchi – more commonly known as Tura Satana – does not indicate an affection for the line of work that Patrick has turned into an erotic empire.
Satana, who began stripping at the age of 13, the same year she entered a short-lived arranged marriage, is quoted as saying, “When I was dancing, burlesque was an art – classy and elegant and requiring talent. I got out of it when it started to become raunchy and lost the art. Now they call it ‘nude dancing,’ but it’s plain pornography, as far as I’m concerned. They do things on stage that I wouldn’t have even though of doing.”
Patrick has unquestionably done things that Satana would not have thought of doing, but she’s enthusiastic about what could be the biggest cross-over performance in the history of adult entertainers.
“It would be the hottest remake ever,” Patrick, a multiple AVN Award winning erotic performer with a degree in microbiology says of the violent road trip film, “and I’m honored to be considered. I was built for this part.”
