Private Media Group Announces New COO
BARCELONA, SPAIN – Private Media Group, arguably the best-known and most widely distributed European adult entertainment production company, announced yesterday the hiring of a new chief operating officer, Peter T. Cohen.“Peter brings a wide range of skills and background to the company and by leveraging his experience in digital media and entertainment we are ensuring that our business strategy remains focused on continued leadership in the marketplace,” said Berth Milton, president, chairman, and CEO of Private in a press release issued yesterday.
According to the Private press release, Cohen will be responsible for the “operations of the company, overall business strategies and management, strategic joint venture/licensing expansion and all new media platform development including mobile, internet and IPTV/VOD.”
Cohen’s background includes extensive experience in the realm of digital content and data, having served as senior executive vice president for Worldwide Media and Entertainment at BillboardLive, and as senior vice president of programming at The Box Music Network where Cohen “oversaw all aspects of programming and state of the art interactive cross platform applications,” according to the Private press release.
“I am thrilled to join Private Media at this exciting time in its growth,” Cohen said. “Private is an established leader in adult entertainment, and I am looking forward to working with Berth and the management team to further expand our content offerings into new media platforms and maximizing our global brand equity.”
Prior to his time at BillboardLive and The Box, Cohen held senior executive positions at several entertainment and media companies, including HBO, CNN International, MuchMusic, and ACTV Inc.
