Prison Sex for Real in Indiana County Jail
BLOOMFIELD, IN – They weren’t living on a sex farm, but three men and three women were doing time in a southern Indiana jail when they decided they wanted to do something a little harder. Something like… sex.Since most jails aren’t set up for conjugal visits, let along intimate encounters between inmates of the opposite sex, the industrious five-some came up with a cunning plan.
Since proximity is essential for the success of any partnered sexual encounter that doesn’t involve a webcam and a chat room, the frustrated Greene County jailbirds figured out where the security camera “blind spots” were and pried out metal ceiling tiles, using a shower drain as a tool. The sexy six-some then used the uncovered passageway more than a dozen times for various social visits, card games and sexual trysts during the months of September and October.
According to court documents and testimony from a man who was not charged in the affair, the twentysomething women and men aged 17, 38 and 44 would crawl through the ceiling tunnel after midnight, drink homemade liquor, play cards and have sex.
Sheriff Terry Pierce told reporters that the tiles were so skillfully replaced over the passageway that “We could not see it” and described the incident as “embarrassing” for himself and his staff.
“If your facility has a flaw, if you house prisoners in it, they will show you. They will find it,” he explained, pointing out the obvious. “We’re going to have to find a way to have a better security system.”
Pierce is seeking additional funding in order to improve jail security.
Hopefully the moments of semi-freedom and sexual release were good for all six prisoners, because prosecutors have filed felony escape charges against them, in addition to the charges each was already waiting to face in court. One inmate has been relocated to the Monroe County Jail in Bloomington. Other current and former inmates may also face charges in the case.
