Pride Month Porn Update: Jenna Doesn’t Really Love Janine
LOS ANGELES, CA — It may be GLBT Pride Month for many in the United States, but once-upon-a-time porn star and on-camera “lesbian” Jenna Jameson likely won’t be marching in any Pride parades or waving any rainbow flags. Because her reputation is important to her, Jameson recently made it clear to the mainstream media that she is “totally hetero.”While most lesbian and bisexual women probably don’t care at this point in her career, the apparently reformed porn star turned biological clock running low on time has abandoned her explicitly erotic roots and become increasingly concerned about the quality of sperm ejaculated into her womb.
Although allegedly fending off unwanted flirtations even from female friends who should know better, Jameson’s current obsession is not making money by fucking women on camera, but finding mainstream B-movies to appear in – and telling the press how desperate she is to emulate SAG card holding Angelina Jolie, by courageously giving birth to children out of wedlock.
“I just got a text from one of my friends on my way over here saying that she wanted to go to bed with me,” Jameson told Fox News’ Pop Tarts during Maxim’s “Hot 100” soiree. “I think one of the big misconceptions everyone – even my friends – have of me is that I’m gay; but I’m really not. I’m totally hetero.”
While some of the confusion may have come from Jameson’s earlier insistence that she was bisexual, her observation that girl/girl scenes were “easy and natural” for her, the fact she has had sex with 100 women and only 30 men during her porn career, and a passage in her autobiography that lists her lesbian relationship with Nikki Tyler as the best she’d ever had, it’s possible that some of the most recent confusion arose from her erotic work with other women during a time when she had massive control of how her image and projects have been created and marketed.
Whatever the source of the confusion, Jameson is reported to have been attempting to conceive for years; a goal she has been unable to achieve even with the use of in vitro fertilization during her second marriage. The performer miscarried in 2004, after being diagnosed with skin cancer. According to various press comments, Jameson had hoped to retire from adult entertainment upon giving birth. Instead, the enormously popular actress exited the industry in 2007, a year after ClubJenna was purchased by Playboy Enterprises and the name of one of its pay-per-view stations changed to ClubJenna.
Now romantically involved with mixed martial artist and former UFC champion Tito Ortiz, with whom she hopes to conceive a child, Jameson has observed that “Being taken seriously as a woman has been the hardest challenge to overcome in show business.”
With Zombie Strippers moving nearly unnoticed through smaller American theaters, Jameson’s next big screen film is said to be War of the Dragon an action horror film that will tell the tale of a female psychic who teams up with a martial arts expert in order to track down both of their mothers’ killers.
Elsewhere in pornography and B-movies, AVN Female Performer of the Year, Sasha Grey, is slated to costar with David Hess, Michael Barryman, Ray Sager, and Herschell Gordon Lewis in Smash Cut, a Canadian indie horror pic directed by Lee Demarbre. Grey will play the part of a television anchor woman who pretends to be a horror actress in hopes of solving her sister’s murder.
Those keen to witness Jameson’s rampant heterosexuality might enjoy watching I Love Lesbians 1 and 10, Where the Boys Aren’t 7, 16, and 17, as well as Briana Loves Jenna, Janine Loves Jenna, Bella Loves Jenna and Jenna Does Carmen. Notice that at no time does Jenna indicate that she loves any of these women. See? Straight!
