Pricasso to Make First U.S. Appearance at SF Exotic Erotic Ball
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Most men are inordinately proud of their “equipment,” but Australian artist Tim Patch has unusual justification for his manly pride.Patch, more popularly known as Pricasso, put a completely different spin on the term “digital art” by painting with his uniquely male digit: his penis. He will demonstrate his, er, “raw” talent October 24th and 25th during the 29th annual San Francisco Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo.
The exhibition marks Patch’s first appearance on U.S. soil.
Patch’s unique pants-down, no-brushes-required paintings have skewered politicians including Sarah Palin, cult personalities and — since he’s destined for hell anyway — the Pope. He recently took a poke at Howard Stern Show regular Eric the Midget, producing a masterful five-foot high by two-and-one-half-foot wide mural which is nearly twice the size of its subject. The mural will be on display during the ball’s Erotic Arts Festival, where Patch, as one of 50 participating erotic artists, will be hanging out for the entire two-day event. At times he will be painting live.
The Eric the Midget mural is expected to be auctioned during the ball, with the proceeds being split between the artist and an as-yet-undisclosed charity. Eric the Midget, who was retained to make a personal appearance at the ball, has not confirmed whether he will autograph the mural before the auction.
A limited edition commemorative poster of the mural is in development.
Patch videotapes himself in the process of every creation. Many of the videos are available at his website, Pricasso.com.
The Exotic Erotic Ball bills itself as “the internationally acclaimed Celebration of Flesh, Fetish, and Fantasy.” E! Entertainment TV has called the event “The World’s No. 1 Wildest and Sexiest Party.” Known for its decidedly tongue-in-cheek combination of live mainstream musical, burlesque and circus performances with political irreverence, humorous hi-jinks and the bizarre, the ball has regaled more than 500,000 attendees during its 28-year history. More than 30,000 people are expected to attend in 2008 as the event takes over a beautiful waterside venue at Treasure Island.
Expo attendance is restricted to adults 18 and older; tickets are $20 per day. Ball attendees must be 21 or older; tickets range in price from $69 to more than $150.
