Pre-noms Open for 30th Annual AVN Awards
YNOT – The pre-nomination period for the 30th annual AVN Awards has opened. Content producers, website owners, product manufacturers and retailers are invited to begin nominating their products via a restricted online interface. To access the pre-nom site, potential candidates must register for a user account “]here.
The site will remain open until midnight Oct. 7. An AVN spokesperson said no deadline extensions will be granted, but those approved for access may visit the site and add more pre-noms as often as they wish until the portal closes.
“We are very excited to have moved to a complete[ly] new platform for the AVN Awards, which is technologically driven by AdultCentro, a global [business-to-business] content marketplace that allows content owners to monetize their digital assets in markets and regions they couldn’t reach before,” AVN Chief Executive Officer Theo Sapoutzis said.
Added AVN Senior Editor Peter Warren, “We’ve put a lot of work into designing a new pre-nom site this year with the help of AdultCentro, and I think the result is a site people will find far more intuitive and easy to use than ever before. Perhaps best of all, the new site allows users to easily review their submissions, so everybody on both ends of the process should have a lot more peace of mind that nothing has gone unaccounted for.”
In order to be eligible for a 2013 AVN Award, a product must have been released between Oct. 1, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2012. Other restrictions apply, and those are laid out within the pre-nominations site, along with a list of categories and their descriptions, and instructions about delivering hard goods to the awards’ judging panel.
The 30th annual AVN Awards Show is scheduled to take place Jan. 19, 2013, in The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
