YNOT – Las Vegas-based adult website review service PornUsers.com has logged its 5,000th consumer-submitted review, the company announced Monday.Launched in January 2007, the online destination offers candid reviews and comments written by consumers of digital adult content. The site’s developer — Ranks.com Inc., parent company of TheBestPorn.com — believes PornUsers to be the first community of its kind. Like its sister site, which offers reviews written by industry professionals, PornUsers tracks 15,327 adult pay sites.

“We can’t be more pleased with the growth and development of the user community at PornUsers.com,” Vice President of Marketing Vegas Ken said. “We have worked extremely hard at maintaining an unbiased and censorship-free community where the consumers can feel comfortable writing honest and open reviews about the sites they have joined.”

Unlike TheBestPorn, PornUsers allows consumers to interact with each other and the owners of the sites they review.

“We have a decent amount of webmasters that actively engage on PornUsers,” Vegas Ken told YNOT. “We would prefer more to be involved, but I think what we do have is pretty good. They can respond to reviews, comments and also post site news.

“We encourage the direct interaction of webmasters and users. I would say this happens regularly. If not daily, it happens multiple times a week.”

One of the benefits webmasters can gain from participating in the PornUsers community is insight into market trends and consumer attitudes, he added.

“Lately we have seen more and more complaints about download speed, poor customer service and recycled content,” he told YNOT. “On the positive side, we are seeing great comments about sites that have upgraded to [high-definition] or higher-quality video.”

Consumers and webmasters alike need to be aware very few punches are pulled in reviews at PornUsers, and Vegas Ken said some of the consumer reviews are even more helpful than the professional variety found at the sister site.

“The user reviews are usually very detailed and even more detailed sometimes than our reviews at [TheBestPorn],” he told YNOT. “[Consumers] are not shy about leaving negative comments or reviews when they feel they are deserved. The user reviews are straight from the consumers’ experience. They are able to relay notes from every aspect, such as going thru the join process, utilizing the members area and content, as well as the cancel process.

“PornUsers has really blossomed into an invaluable resource of consumer research for the adult pay-site market,” he noted. “The community has users around the globe that are knowledgeable, experienced porn buyers.
