Pornhub Taps Cosmo Payment for Payment Services
MONTREAL – When Pornhub announced back in mid-November that PayPal had stopped all payments to models and performers from the site, thousands of performers were left scrambling to deal with the fallout from PayPal’s decision.
PayPal’s precipitous move also left the adult industry wondering what Pornhub would do in terms of replacing the services once offered by the giant payment platform. That question has now been answered: Pornhub has tapped adult-friendly global payment solutions-provider Cosmo Payment to help fill the void left by PayPal.
In a statement provided to YNOT, CosmoPayment said the company “doesn’t jump into bed with just anyone.”
“We are very excited to announce a new partnership with Pornhub, one of the premier online destinations for adult entertainment,” said Anthony Nocella, Senior Business Development Executive for Cosmo Payment. “With over 90 million visitors a day and 5 million new uploads a year, having a reliable and trusted payment service is essential. We are thrilled and honored to offer Pornhub content creators our Cosmo Payment service, the most adult-friendly payment solution in the industry.”
With this move, Pornhub joins a growing list of prominent adult brands that employ the services of Cosmo Payment. Some of Cosmo Payment’s other clients include Chaturbate, MyFreeCams, Stripchat, CameraPrive, Flirt4Free, Streamate, Adultwork, Camster, IMLive, Naked, XCams, CamContacts, Sexole, XLoveCam, xVideos, MyDirtyHobby, Many Vids and OnlyFans.
“With today’s announcement, Cosmo Payment welcomes all users, new and old, with open arms (and legs!), knowing that this news will help fill that important gap created by PayPal’s abrupt and untimely announcement to no longer offer their service to the adult/cam industry,” Nocella said. “We encourage everyone to sign-up for a free account on our website and see for yourself why Cosmo Payment is making waves.”
