Porn Star Wanted On Rape/Burglary Charges Surrenders to Authorities
PULLMAN, WA — Adult performer Jack Venice (Christopher Reid) turned himself in to police yesterday in a motel parking lot. He was escorted to the Whitman County Courthouse for his first court appearance.Venice is facing charges of second-degree rape, first-degree burglary, two counts of residential burglary and one count of attempted burglary. He is being held in lieu of posting $200,000 bond. Venice is, according to the local media, attempting to raise the bond money so he can go back to work in adult productions in Los Angeles. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges. Venice, along with local student Kyle Schott, is accused of raping a woman who was sleeping at the Kappa Theta Alpha sorority’s house at Washington State University.
Venice has hired attorney Chris Bugbee to represent him. Bugbee released the following statement:
“Mr. Reid maintains he is innocent of any and all criminal charges. We are confident that when this matter is concluded he will be absolved of all the allegations against him. The public and the media are reminded that Mr. Reid is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a jury of his peers. In that light, while this matter is pending we ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of Mr. Reid and his family.”
