PlugRush Push Notification Ads Now Available for Advertisers
BERGEN, Norway – Online ad network PlugRush has announced its advertisers can now start using the company’s new Push Notification ads, which were first made available to PlugRush publishers late last month. The ad format is available for both adult and mainstream traffic on the network.
“We’ve been working diligently to get Push Notification Ads live for our advertisers after we initially made it available for webmasters functioning as publishers in our network, in order to give them a head start on collecting subscribers,” said PlugRush CEO Jørgen Bogetveit. “Now we’d like to invite our advertisers to buy this traffic generated from the subscribers collected by our publishers, so they can tap into this high-quality display ad traffic. We’d love to see all advertisers at PlugRush test this new ad format as soon as possible, because we know the quality of this traffic type is unmatched.”
The Push ads can be purchased on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis, freeing media buyers purchasing the traffic from the ads from concern about paying on a per-impression basis – an important distinction to buyers, since per-impression ad buys can rack up cost quickly without delivering much traffic.
As described by Plug Rush, push notifications are “messages sent to end users after they have opted in to receive notifications from a given website or mobile app.”
“Generally displayed on the home screen of mobile devices (on Android phones, for example) and in the message portion of desktop operating systems such as Windows 10, advertisements delivered via push are extremely engaging and effective,” PlugRush said in a release announcing the launch of the ad format to its advertisers.
