PlugRush Dominates YNOT Grand Prix’s Phoenix Leg
TEMPE, Ariz. – Drivers fielded by internet traffic network PlugRush claimed two of the top three honors during the YNOT Grand Prix’s pit stop at the Phoenix Forum.
There are more than enough weird coincidences in that announcement to choke a carburetor.
Jurgen and Thomas, both PlugRush representatives, claimed first and third place, respectively. Second place went to Chris from hosting company Way3.
All three top finishers recorded lap times under 28 seconds, falling short of the track record by less than a second.
Presented by title sponsor JuicyAds, the YNOT Grand Prix’s Phoenix Forum event — one of the official opening events for the three-day webmaster conference — took place Wednesday evening at Octane Raceway’s newest facility. According to race organizer and YNOT Group Vice President Jay, everything from the track to the staff to the food and the cutthroat competition was “awesome.”
“We had a great time,” Jay said. “Seventy people attended. Fifty of them were drivers. The indoor-outdoor track was amazing — fewer turns and electric karts with a top-end speed of 45 miles per hour. When the speed kicked in it was a big rush, and competition was fierce for the finals.
“I have to hand it to the staff [at Octane],” he added. “They were really on the ball. The teenage-kid employees were excellent at laying down the law. Everyone who wanted to race got to race and had a great time kicking off the Phoenix Forum.”
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors JuicyAds, DatingFactory, Badoink, FNCash, Paxum and WebcamWiz, a complimentary Mexican-food buffet and drinks got rave reviews, Jay noted.
The next YNOT Grand Prix race will take place in August during Qwebec Expo in Montreal. The final race of the 2014 season will open September’s European Summit in Prague.
