pjur Supports LGBTQIA+ Community Through Pride Events, Donations
WASSERBILLIG, Luxembourg – This summer, June through the end of August, personal lubricants manufacturer pjur says it was “all about the rainbow” for the company, as pjur offered its support to the LGBTQIA+ community at a variety of Pride events and through charitable donations.
The company used the summer to invite “everyone to become a part of the rainbow and be true to their own, unique sexual identity with a special sachet card promotion and a competition on Instagram and TikTok.”
pjur added the company “chose to highlight the importance of diversity, inclusion, tolerance, empowerment, and self-actualization,” as it publicized the slogan “Choose your color of the rainbow.”
The company said its team greeted visitors to a variety of Christopher Street Day (CSD) parades with a cheery “Happy Pride to everyone!” as the pjur PR team “mingled with the revelers in Luxembourg, Cologne, and Trier.”
“Of course, they weren’t just celebrating – they were also busy handing out sachet cards with three of the most popular products,” the company noted. “People could test the premium personal lubricants and even take part in the competition. A Pride Box was up for grabs with travel-size versions of the popular pjur prod-ucts pjur ORIGINAL, pjur WOMAN Nude, and pjur BACK DOOR Moisturising. The perfect companion for the summer.”
The company’s campaign supported for the whole month by German influencers. Hanna Sökeland and her partner Jessica Huber, from the dating show “Princess Charming” 2022, who “have long been fans of pjur’s premium personal lubricants,” the company said.
“This year again, both top influencers were there and advertised the competition on their social media channels,” pjur noted in the statement. “This time they were joined by Valencia Stöhr, the self-described ‘millionaire of passion,’ who took part in ‘Kampf der Realitystars’ (“Battle of the Reality Stars”) this year. She presented the Pride Box in her unique and charming way and revealed her favorite product: pjur BACK DOOR Moisturising.”
The company also “supported several charities far beyond the Pride celebrations,” pjur said.
“In a number of cities pjur provides several charities with free products, such as Aids charities in Bielefeld, Heilbronn, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, and Leipzig,” the company said in their statement. “pjur also provided donations to the Trans Healthkit Project, which runs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. People who identify as trans and are struggling financially can get free personal lubricants, condoms, or hygiene articles from this organization. pjur also donated products to Trans*Sexworks, which gives free condoms and personal lubricants to trans sex workers in Berlin.”
Alexander Giebel, CEO and founder of the company, said Pride Month “is an important time for pjur.”
“We celebrate all aspects of love together with the LGBTQIA+ community and show solidarity,” Giebel said. “But we also support the various charities that look after the community. Throughout the year. We are conscious of our responsibility.”
