Pittsburgh Locals Oppose Possible Strip Club Opening
PITTSBURGH, PA — A local man who wants to build a strip club in his Manchester neighborhood is facing the objections of the area’s residents.Bernard Taylor wants to erect the Riverfront Doll House in Manchester, near the Majestic Star Casino. Plans for the club show a 7,200 square foot place with three stages and a private show area.
“We’ve been working for about 30 years now on promoting Manchester as a good place to live, and we’re concerned about the association of a strip club with Manchester, and we’re concerned that that association might come to define the neighborhood,” Tom Hardy, a representative of Manchester Citizens Corporation told a local TV station.
While the Riverfront Doll House is being proposed at a location that is zoned for adult, the city’s planning commission and city council still have to approve the club’s opening for business.
