PinkCherry Names Erin Sue Director of Sales
TORONTO – Online sex toy distributor PinkCherry has named Erin Sue as its new Director of Sales, the company announced yesterday. The company said Sue will “drive sales through her work with creative direction to the website, mobile-first design, user experience, product merchandising, brand marketing, and the PinkCherry social media presence.”
Sue also will also remain in her current role as lingerie buyer for PinkCherry and continue to work on enhancing this section of the business, the company added.
“Erin is an integral part of our team and we wanted to position her in a role that utilizes her creative marketing and sales background, which will undoubtedly take us to the next level,” said Daniel Freedman, PinkCherry CEO. “Erin has been in the industry for 10 years and has a great relationship with all of our vendors and knowledge of their product lines. It just makes sense to give her more opportunity to work with everyone and to grow our 900 lb gorilla.”
Coming from a fashion and apparel background, Sue “brings a fresh perspective to the PinkCherry brand,” the company added in a statement announcing her appointment to the Direct of Sales position. Freedman said that Sue will work on the company’s image to transition it into a “lifestyle brand with sex positive messaging,” and to grow the U.S. side of the business.
“PinkCherry has always been dominant in Canada, and over the last half a year we have accelerated our growth in the US,” Freedman said. “To keep that momentum going, we need to have the best people on our team to help us do that.”
As Director of Sales, Sue “will be collaborating with the entire PinkCherry family to focus the direction of the brand,” the company said in its statement, adding that Sue will “work with the team on transforming the multi-platform business into an ecommerce hub of sexual health products and a plethora of sensual wellness information.”
Sue said that PinkCherry “has such a strong foundation in Canada and a tremendous opportunity to get really creative with the marketing.”
“I’m excited to work with the team to boost the overall branding and to dramatically increase our business and brand exposure,” she added.
PinkCherry currently has distribution facilities in Toronto and Las Vegas, servicing Canadian and U.S. customers, respectively.
