Pink Visual Receives 2011 Future Mobile Entertainment Award
YNOT – Multi-platform adult entertainment company Pink Visual received a mainstream mobile entertainment award alongside internet giants including Spotify, EA Mobile, Qualcomm, MobiTV and Ladbrokes. The 2011 Future Mobile Entertainment Awards winners were announced Monday during the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in Barcelona.
As described by global research and analysis firm Juniper Research, which annually presents the honors, the Future Mobile Awards “are given to companies that have made a significant contribution to their sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future.” A panel of expert judges determined awards in the entertainment categories based on criteria including innovation, customer growth and retention, marketing and branding, revenue generation, pricing, and capability and functionality.
Windsor Holden, a principal analyst for Juniper Research and a member of the judging panel, said Pink Visual received the highest marks among mobile adult content and service providers.
“For several years, Pink Visual has been at the forefront of the provision of adult services across a variety of channels, including mobile,” Holden said. “It has been one of the sector’s great innovators. It is also the first adult service provider to engage with augmented reality. Pink Visual fully deserves its success.”
Pink Visual President Allison Vivas said receiving the Future Mobile Entertainment Award in the Mobile Adult Content and Services category is “especially gratifying, considering how much effort our company has put into its mobile operations over the past few years.”
According to Vivas, “Receiving the Future Mobile award is another indication that we’re on the right track in the mobile sector. When you look down the list of 2011 award winners in the other business sectors this year and see names like Spotify, EA Mobile, Qualcomm, eBay and Wells Fargo, you can’t help but feel like you’re in pretty darn good company.”
Mobile World Congress began Monday and runs through Thursday.
