YNOT – In order to encourage developers to embrace its new PV API tool, Pink Visual has launched a challenge that will award one winner a trip to the company’s Pron Party in Las Vegas in January.

Alternatively, the winner may elect to receive a $2,500 cash prize.

“The response to the launch of PV API has been great and has included signups from quite a number of developers who have never worked with adult content before,” said Pink Visual President Allison Vivas. “With the announcement of the contest, we hope to draw in even more developers, and we look forward to receiving and reviewing a lot of high-quality apps.”

Using PV API, developers can create almost any kind of adult website or application they can imagine, including full-fledged niche sites, games, index-style link links and mobile applications. Upon signing up with PV API, developers received a limited API Key, which becomes fully enabled once Pink Visual has reviewed and approved the completed project.

“We really want to encourage developers to get as creative as possible with their apps,” Vivas said. “While commercial applicability is important, in terms of how we judge the apps submitted to us, the most important aspects are going to be how well the application functions and how creative it is in how it uses our data and content.”

The prize will be awarded to the developer who submits the “best overall” application in the opinion of Pink Visual’s panel of judges. Only residents of the U.S. are eligible to win the contest.
