Pink Visual, Fleshbot Ask Users to Create Adult Mobile Games
LOS ANGELES – Adult studio Pink Visual and online porn tabloid Fleshbot have launched a contest offering prizes to the Fleshbot readers who develop kinky concepts for a mobile games application. The contest arose from a discussion between the two companies about promoting iTouchHer and its website, KinkyGames.com.
“We originally built iTouchHer as a Web app for use by [Pink Visual’s affiliate program sibling] TopBucks webmasters — and by ourselves — to promote iPinkVisualpass.com [TopBucks’ mobile Web portal],” Pink Visual’s Q. Boyer told YNOT. “The thinking was that if we put something sufficiently fun and outrageous together, it might catch on in a viral way and spread to places where a more ‘direct’ porn application might not be able to go.
“In the process of getting the word out about iTouchHer, we reached out to Fleshbot, where posts about the original set of games had spawned a lively comment thread and some terrific ideas,” he added. “We asked them if they might be interested in creating a co-branded game based on suggestions from their users. From there, the notion of making it a contest came up, and the current promotion-slash-contest was born.”
During the contest period, users will submit game ideas on the Fleshbot site. To be considered for implementation, game submissions must be conceptualized to operate within the basic parameters of the iTouchHer app (see the sample game at KinkyGames.com) and must not include any concepts that are illegal within the United States. Fleshbot users will vote on the entries. Winners from the public round will enter a final round in which Fleshbot editors and Pink Visual staff will determine gold, silver and bronze medalists.
“We’re open to pretty much any game idea Fleshbot users come up with, within reasonable limits, both technical and legal,” Boyer said.
The three winning ideas will be created by Pink Visual and added to the KinkyGames.com lineup. In addition, the gold winner will receive a free six-month membership to iPinkVisualPass. The silver and bronze winners will receive three-month and one-month subscriptions, respectively.
“Fleshbot’s always looking for new ways to engage our readers, and giving them the chance to have their very own game on KinkyGames was just too cool to pass up,” Editor in Chief Lux Alptraum said.
Pink Visual Product Manager Kim Kysar said the company foresees great things for iTouchHer.
“When we first created the iTouchHer app, we knew that it was going to be a great opportunity for us to do something new, different and interactive that would allow us to connect with both the mobile porn user and the geek-chic set,” she said. “Our new partnership with Fleshbot allows us to take this interaction to the next level by fielding new game ideas submitted by Fleshbot users that will be created and implemented on Fleshbot’s very own iTouchHer game.”
