Pineapple Support Announces ‘Sacred Rage’ Support Group
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has announced that it is launching a new, free, online support group called “Sacred Rage,” which the organization said is “designed for individuals grappling with intense emotions and the pain often hidden behind anger, offering insights into the nature of anger and its protective role, as well as constructive ways to channel it.”
According to the announcement, the six-week “Sacred Rage” support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Stephen Mollura and begins today, November 12, at 3pm PST.
“If you struggle with your rage and the pain lurking behind it, join this support group to reclaim and transform your emotions,” Mollura said. “This group will focus on learning what anger is, why you have it, what it is protecting, and what to do with it. You’ll find support, understanding, and the self-connection you need to feel safe and empowered. Come to learn and make peace with yourself.”
Founded by performer Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States. The organization reports that since its founding, it has “connected over 14,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
“Understanding and transforming our emotions, especially ones as intense as anger, is an essential part of mental health,” Tanit said. “This support group will offer a safe and guided space for individuals to navigate these feelings, supported by our dedicated and compassionate therapists.”
According to the announcement, sessions during the six-week program will last approximately one hour and will take place online each Tuesday at the same time, through December 17.
