Pineapple Support, Paxum Launch Support Group on Substance Use and Sobriety
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support announced the organization will host a free, online support group to help performers navigate substance use and sobriety, sponsored by global payment processing provider Paxum.
The monthly support group, titled “Balanced Pathways: Navigating Moderation Or Sobriety,” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Monique Martinez. The first of the sessions will take place Monday, March 4, at 4pm PST.
“We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the vital services Pineapple Support offers to adult industry professionals,” a Paxum representative said in the announcement. “In recent years, Pineapple Support has significantly improved the mental health and wellbeing of thousands of content creators by providing valuable resources such as professional therapy, supportive workshops, and comprehensive mental health guidance within a safe and inclusive environment. As the preferred global payment service for the industry, Paxum takes pride in backing Pineapple Support’s ongoing efforts through our sponsorship.”
Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit said the organization “launched this support group in response to recent events in the industry, ensuring we are acting fast towards the needs of performers.”
“Whether or not you’re sober, or want to be, we’re hoping to create a supportive environment to explore wellness and balance,” Tanit added. “Dr. Martinez will offer innovative approaches to help you navigate the spectrum from problematic substance use to moderation or complete sobriety. We all have individual journeys and choices, and we want to provide people with a fresh perspective on recovery.”
The support group’s sessions will last for around one hour and will take place online on the first Monday of each month at the same time. For more information about this support group and to reserve a spot, click here.
