Pineapple Support Launches Group for Performers’ Partners, Family Members
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has announced the organization is launching a free, online support group for “partners and family members of adult industry professionals,” sponsored by Clips4Sale.
According to the announcement, the six-week support group, titled “Behind the Scenes”, will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Monique Martinez-Quiros. The first session will take place on Wednesday, May 7 at 1pm EST.
“Behind the Scenes is a support group designed specifically for partners and family members of adult industry professionals,” Dr. Martinez-Quiros explained in the announcement. “In a safe and understanding environment, participants can explore the unique challenges they face, share experiences, and build tools to strengthen relationships, foster open communication, and find mutual support within this community.”
Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit said that support for the adult industry “must also extend to those who stand beside performers; their partners, spouses, parents, and friends.”
“These individuals often navigate their own questions, worries, and emotional burdens in silence,” Tanit added. “With this group, we’re creating space for honest conversations and meaningful connection, helping loved ones feel seen, heard, and supported.”
Founded by Tanit in 2018 after a tragic series of losses within the adult industry community stemming from depression and other mental health struggles, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 15,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
Earlier this month, the organization announced the launch of the six-week “Spectrum Support Group,” an online support group “dedicated to individuals who are or suspect they may be on the autism spectrum.”
According to the announcement, the “Behind the Scenes” sessions will run for approximately one hour and take place online weekly for six weeks. For more information about support groups offered by Pineapple Support and to reserve a spot, click here.
