Personalized VOD Service Coming in August
AMSTERDAM – A six-month-old Dutch startup that allows users to design monthly adult digital magazines tailored to their specific tastes will launch the same sort of service for video-on-demand in August.
“We’re very excited about adding personalized VOD to our services,” said Tony Tillate, co-founder and chief executive officer for Faploid. “These days, adult content and movies are pretty easy to find, but the websites or environments they’re on are terrible. In collaboration with our content partners, we’re offering people convenience and efficiency. Gone are the days of time-consuming online searches and weeding through content overkill.”
With the new VOD service, users may set their interests and be presented with personalized selections from studios including Brazzers, Playboy, Club Seventeen, OpenLife, ElegantRaw, DDF Network and JoyBear. The service costs about 10 euros monthly and works on televisions, desktop computers, laptops and portable devices.
“Quality content is increasingly important for discerning consumers, male and female,” Tillate said. “Although there is plenty of free content available through tube and torrent sites, we see a huge growth potential for Faploid and our future services. The industry is evolving and learning from innovative mainstream services such as iTunes, Spotify, Netflix and Flipboard.
