Penthouse Goes Digital (Dare We Say ‘At Last’?)
CAMPBELL, Calif. – At age 50, Penthouse Magazine has finally made the leap into cyberspace. Beginning immediately, current and future issues of the magazine — as well as some archived issues — will be available electronically through subscription at PenthouseMagazine.com.
Operated by General Media Communications Inc., a subsidiary of FriendFinder Networks Inc., Penthouse has become a go-to-resource not only for titillation, but also for lifestyle coverage. The move onto the web presents a new way for readers to experience the publication’s content. Re-imagined for the digital age, PenthouseMagazine.com combines everything readers have come to expect from the print magazine with the power of digital interaction, giving subscribers an open-ended reading experience available anytime, anywhere.
Current print-magazine subscribers will receive notice in the mail providing information about how to add the online version, free of charge.
“As FriendFinder Networks is one of the innovators of online social media, it is only appropriate that our valuable Penthouse flagship magazine now joins our other web offerings, available through FFN’s established worldwide network,” said FFN Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Buckheit. “This move will keep Penthouse competitive in the future and will seamlessly combine our unmatched pictorial features and editorial content with our video and broadcast offerings.”
Formerly based in New York City, the magazine division has relocated to FFN’s Los Angeles headquarters.
