Paxum: ‘No POS Fees All Summer’
MONTREAL – Following the success of its offer to open no-fee accounts for adult performers burned by Chase Bank’s without-notice closure of their accounts, alternative payment services provider Paxum Inc. has decided to extend a similar offer to all clients.
From April 28 through Sept. 1, the company will waive the $1 customary point-of-service transaction fees for holders of verified Paxum Payroll debit cards.
“Our goal is to help our clients feel freer pulling out their Paxum card to make purchases,” said Business Development Manager Ruth Blair. “During the spring and summer months people start to go out and do more, and as a result, the desire to make on-the-spot purchases generally increases. We hope our summer-long promotion will make things easier for our clients to make these on-the-spot purchases and enjoy their summer activities even more.”
Blair said the POS-fee-free policy will be applied to all accounts in the Paxum system, whether the accounts are pre-existing or new.
“Spring and summer seem a smart time to offer the promotion, as more people enjoy more activities outdoors,” she said. “Often, that means a greater degree of incidental purchases. Rather than having to keep enough cash in their pockets, Paxum clients can simply use the card for all their purchases without any extra costs involved.
The POS-fee-free promotion is “really all about convenience, spontaneity and practicality,” Blair continued. “We want our clients to feel comfortable paying for goods and purchases directly with their Paxum card. By removing the POS fee, we hope they will be able to enjoy using their Paxum card for purchases to a greater degree.”
