PASS, Spankchain to Host Vegas Happy Hour Nov. 17
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – PASS and Spankchain have announced they are hosting a free performer/creator happy hour in Las Vegas on November 17, a private event open to adult performers, which will include a two-hour open bar, sponsored by Spankchain.
In the announcement, PASS and Spankchain said they “hope to use the event to help performers in Nevada connect, as well as raise awareness for their free Mycoplasma genitalium (Mgen) testing initiative.”
“We wanted to have an event where we could have fun and throw free tests at people,” said Ian O’Brien, Executive Director for PASS. “The number of health threats our community has had to deal with over the last couple of years has been exhausting and it is wonderful to be able to do something more lighthearted while still providing people access to care. Spankchain has our continued gratitude for their dedication and support for this issue.”
PASS partnered with Spankchain and TBD Health to launch the Mgen testing program in April. Performers in Nevada and Florida can access free Mgen testing and, if necessary, treatment. Testing is available at TBD’s Las Vegas clinic, or through an at-home test kit.
“Mgen is a sexually transmitted infection whose incidence may be increasing, but is seldom included in STI testing panels,” the organizations noted in the announcement. “It is easily treated.”
PASS added in the announcement that while the organization is “eager to help as many performers as possible access the test, participating in the testing program is not required.”
Performers who wish to attend the happy hour can sign up here. Location details will be provided closer to the date of the event.
