Paradise Marketing Offers Television Broadcasters Free Condoms
When NBC TV Reporter Kyla Galer, a three-time emmy award-winning journalist anchoring the news in Southwest Florida, needed to protect expensive equipment during her coverage of Hurrican Ian she thought outside the box and turned to an unlikely savior.
A condom.
“A lot of people are asking what is on my microphone,” Galer said in a clip shared online. “It is what you think it is—it’s a condom! It helps protect the gear. We can’t get these mics wet. There’s a lot of wind, there’s a lot of rain, so we got to do what we got to do, and that is put a condom on the microphone.”
Paradise Marketing, a premiere condom and lubricant marketer and distributor who has been around since 1978 and worked with some of the top companies in the world such as K-Y, Trojan, Lifestyles, Durex, Nair depilatories and more, also thought outside the box.
The forward-thinking company sent notice to all television broadcasters that they would provide free condoms in the cases of future weather coverage.
“We at Paradise Marketing appreciate the honesty of Kyla Galer during her courageous television coverage of Hurricane Ian,” said Christopher Von Huben, Chief Executive Officer for Paradise Marketing. “It is our goal to make everyone in the television industry aware that when in need for these types of natural disasters, Paradise Marketing is here to assist with free condoms to those on the front lines.”
