Outsiders Trust Charity Crowdfunding Campaign Runs Through Nov. 17
LONDON – The Outsiders Trust is in the midst of a “month-long, dynamic crowdfunding campaign” to raise funds for the charity and its annual Sexual Freedom Awards” which kicked off October 9 and will culminate on Sunday, November 17 with “an exciting event at Heaven Nightclub, Charing Cross,” the Trust said.
The Trust said the crowdfunding campaign is “primarily targeted at university students and younger crowds” and aims to “give financial support to the charity, who work hard to offer social and peer support to help physically disabled people when dating and with sexual expression.”
“The event will also foster a sense of community and inclusivity,” the Trust said in a statement. “Heaven Nightclub, a well-known venue in London, has generously offered its space to host a closing party on Sunday 10 November.”
According to the statement, the party at Heaven “promises an evening featuring a diverse range of entertainment such as speed dating, comedy acts, drag acts, burlesque performances, and more.” They added that the event is designed to “create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere where young people can connect, have fun, and support a worthy cause.”
“We are thrilled to be hosting this month-long event, and can’t wait for the grand finale at Heaven, which has long been a cornerstone of London’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene,” said Els Payne, a representative of the Outsiders Trust. “With the generous support of Heaven Nightclub, Little Leaf Agency, and our contributors, we are confident that this campaign will make a meaningful impact on the Sexual Freedom Awards and The Outsiders Trust.”
To increase the campaign’s reach, the charity said it has “partnered with Little Leaf Agency to coordinate sponsorship opportunities and raise awareness for the cause, in hopes of engaging influencers and educators and drawing attention to the initiative which will, in turn, raise more money and awareness for the cause.” Little Leaf Agency is also “spearheading the creation of exclusive gift bags from participating brands for guests of the closing party,” the statement explained.
The crowdfunding campaign will run through November 17, with all proceeds going directly to support the work of The Outsiders Trust, enabling the Sexual Freedom Awards “to take place in a larger venue, supporting more people within the community and raising further awareness to those who need it,” the statement said.
