Online Reality Series Features Female Wrestlers
YNOT – The Female Wrestling Channel has launched a new online reality series pitting women against women and women against men in candid and scripted matches.
After merging the four-year-old Catfight Report — a blog offering news, reviews and interviews — with the Catfight Fantasy Girls fictional battle accounts, Johnny Ringo decided to dive into producing original video content. Seven scenes debuted when TheFemaleWrestlingChannel.com launched in April.
“What sets us apart is that our paying monthly members can shape our ongoing storyline,” Ringo said. “You can think of what we do as an ongoing reality TV show that is totally fan-, model- and sponsor-driven. The only big difference between us and the networks is that the fans, models or sponsors can pay to bring in women they want to be a part of it, or fund the angles for the current girls, or even be participants themselves.”
The website seeks female celebrities, female fitness stars, adult stars and amateurs who would like to participate in the project. Ringo also seeks sponsors for the matches. Sponsors will receive a 30-second ad in the resulting video, he said.
He also said he plans to post a minimum of one new video per week.
“Our goal is to pack the site with as much content as possible and get our fans back to the site on a daily basis to see what’s new,” he noted.
Memberships cost $5.99 per month or $50 per year.
Affiliates can earn a 20-percent revenue share through a program administered by CBill.
