Retired Adult Star Onai Malik aka Nadia Ali Featured in Refinery 29
Onai Malik. infamously known as the controversial Muslim Pakistan adult star, Nadia Ali, spoke to Refinery 29 on camera on how her life has changed since leaving the adult industry two years ago, opening up her own beauty bar, Onai Here 2 Slay and admitted she was not banned from Pakistan for performing in porn movies, but from wearing her hijab while doing it.
“The truth is I never wanted to wear the traditional scarf and dress in scenes, but I was told by agencies I needed to bring politics, religion and controversy to the adult industry, otherwise I would be hard to book,” says Onai. “I regretted my decision to do it before, during and after those scenes. But I did what I had to do so I can get where I am now and be who I want to be.”
Although Onai has left the porn movie biz, she still dances at Gentlemen’s Club in LA and feature dances across the country to bring money into her new business which opened in late July.
“Everybody has their own reason on why they’re living, I just happened to want to live like Beyonce,” says Onai. “I created this business to get back to who I truly am. I’m still at my night life job, if I want to see my business doing well I have to keep it. It’s fast money, my stripper income is anywhere from eight thousand to eighteen thousand a month.”
“Business is a never-ending journey,” says Onai. “You must continue with your chest up and your head held high.”
