No Downtime in IML Bulk Payments to Hosts, More
ImLive has always prioritized prompt and efficient payments to hosts, studios and affiliates. And when Choice Bank was forced to withdraw its services to some of the industry’s biggest players — including FirstChoice Pay, ImLive’s biggest payment provider – the organization took action.
The news that Choice Bank had to withdraw its services was received on Monday April 9 via industry press — just six days of advanced notice on an action that would leave many companies without any means to process bulk payments.
ImLive reacted to the news quickly and was able to secure exclusive continuation of payments via Payoneer’s Global Bank Transfer system. Many of ImLive’s users were able to instantly swap to other payment methods already in place, such as Paxum and Wire transfer, with no disruption at all.
Reorganizing payment solutions for tens of thousands of hosts and affiliates is a huge task.
Within the ImLive.com support center, all hands were placed on deck. Extra staff pitched in to help with the large number of inquiries, and many staff volunteered to cover shifts to help with the situation, some giving up holiday time and days off. Managerial staff worked up to fourteen-hour shifts to help bring the new payment methods online. The work load required to service this change over the last two weeks was significant and will continue into the weeks to come.
Today, it is with great pride that the company can announce that the majority of its users were able to take advantage of the hard work and receive their payments on time. Those that did not manage to get accounts approved in time for the end of the pay period were offered an extra pay date on April 23 so that they did not have to wait another two weeks.
For the May 1 payout, ImLive will be introducing several new payment methods to bolster an already strong offering. These include the addition of ePayService, with a great range of payment types, and the return of check payments to U.S. clients. In the coming weeks, these will be accompanied by CosmoPayments and ePayments as well.
According to ImLive, these options will enable the most diverse range of payments on the market and will be able to reduce the impact of any future such event to almost zero.
