New Studio Releases First Provocative Title
MONTREAL – Forgive Me Father, the first title from a new studio helmed by award-winning director Nica Noelle, released Wednesday. Forgive Me Father, a collection of four related vignettes, stars Ty Roderick, Nick Capra, Lance Hart and Trenton Ducati. Casey Tanner, Armond Rizzo, Tommy Defendi and Seth Santoro appear in featured roles.
The provocative production plays religion against desire.
“In this series, [Catholic] parishioners go into the confessional booth seeking forgiveness, and as they confess we revisit the sins they’ve committed,” Noelle explained. “There’s something about the anguish of sinning, of trying so hard not to give in to temptation and failing, that really appeals to me in terms of erotic storyline. Forgive Me Father is structured along these lines.
“I’m really proud to present this as the debut release for Icon Male,” she added. “It represents the type of films you can expect from my new studio.”
Noelle and Mile High Media partnered to create Icon Male, which will specialize in what Noelle described as “realistic romance porn for the gay audience.”
Icon’s productions will “put ordinary people in extraordinary situations and watch them struggle with some kind of forbidden sexual desire or conflict,” Noelle told YNOT.
In Forgive Me Father, viewers peek inside a priest’s confessional and find tormented men begging forgiveness for their sins of the flesh. A guilt-ridden teacher (Capra) falls in love with a troubled young student (Rizzo). A former priest (Hart) left the church when his desire for aparishioner (Defendi) became too much to bear. A devoted husband (Ducati) is tortured by shameful lust for his hot young brother in law (Santoro), and a swaggering soldier (Roderick) unexpectedly falls for a “pretty boy” (Tanner). According to Noelle, the vignettes portray “real sex, real positions, real orgasms, no dissolves.”
Mile High Vice President Jon Blitt said the new studio is off to a great start.
“Icon Male’s first release is already a complete success,” he said. “Nica once again is creating unique and exciting erotica that fans are craving. Forgive Me Father has topped the [video-on-demand] charts in its first week on AEBN, and [DVD] preorders are incredibly strong. We have a blockbuster on our hands. What a great way to launch a new gay studio.”
Other Icon Male productions slated for release include WWII period piece Prisoners of War, Men Seeking Men and Forbidden Encounters.
