New Ownership at ATCC
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After its acquisition by an anonymous group of investors, Adult Trading Card Company has redesigned its product, updated its online presence and modified the process by which performers and others place product orders.
No details about the change in ownership or the financial transaction have been revealed.
“After three great years, I’ve decided to turn over ATCC to some great folks,” said former owner JP Berkman. “They’ve got some exciting things planned. “I want to thank everyone that has helped my vision for ATCC grow and succeed.”
Founded in 2010, ATCC produces porn star trading cards. The cards feature photos on both sides along with the performer’s stats and social media addresses. Performers typically sell the autographed cards at personal appearances and on their websites.
The product received the 2012 AVN Award for Best Party, Game or Gag Product.
As part of the change in ownership and image, the company’s official website has re-launched with a new look and a new mechanism for online orders. According to Director of Operations Casper Curtis, the new process has resulted in decreases in both product pricing and turnaround time.
“We’re coming into this with a great foundation laid by JP,” Curtis said. “Throughout the acquisition process, we talked to performers, agents, publicists, photographers and fans to find out what they wanted and what would work best for them. With our industry connections and track record of producing quality products, we’re going to work hard to create multiple revenue opportunities for performers. We have several partnerships locked down for both marketing and distribution.”
Curtis also said the company plans to introduce new products, including posters, calendars and a line of playing cards.
