New Mobile Social Media Platform Offers Revshare Potential
YNOT – A new social media platform has launched, offering adult performers an opportunity to make money from their fan connections. Peepstar.com’s creators describe the site as “a platform that directly connects stars to their fans … [providing] the opportunity to make money simply by showcasing their talents.”
Each performer or studio obtains a channel at Peepstar and then collects “followers,” much like on Twitter or Facebook. Fans pay a monthly fee per performer; in exchange, their favorite star will text or email short, sexy, personal erotic videos in QuickTime format — called “peeps” — to the fan’s cell phone. Performers collect a percentage of the revenues, much as they would with a webcam performance.
“The buzz over the signup frenzy has been amazing,” said ten-year adult industry veteran Sancho, vice president and operations manager for parent company Peepstar LLC. “A great thing about Peepstar is that it doesn’t compete with anything. We invite all the stars to use Peepstar to promote themselves, their websites, movies, live chats, appearances, social media…. Whatever the performers are doing, we want them to promote on their Peepstar channel, and above all have fun and make money.
“We invite agents and managers to sign up their talent, and we will be sharing a recurring percentage with anyone who brings stars to sign up,” Sancho added. “Our first month, we are offering special promotions to the first fans to sign up. We will sponsor monthly contests with cash prizes to the stars who ‘peep’ the most.”
Performers already participating in the network include Dana DeArmond, Phoenix Marie, Sarah Jessie, Tiffany Brookes, Jazmin Jarako and Allison Moore.
