New Interface Adds Ease of Use to CMS
LOS ANGELES – A brand-new user interface for a popular adult content-management system emphasizes ease of use by clarifying navigation within a more “modern” framework.
“The goal of redesigning the admin panel was to make use faster for experienced users and easier for brand-new users,” Elevated X Chief Executive Officer AJ Hall said of updates to the company’s eponymous CMS. Now everyone can “figure things out without much need for a user manual.”
Among the most notable changes is the combination of multi-feature navigation sections into their own separate menus. Inline help has been added to provide insight into data fields and software settings without leaving the page on which the fields and settings exist. Breadcrumb trails make moving within and between sections quick and easy.
In addition, Hall noted, text and field labels are more user-friendly and less technical throughout, and universal navigation provides a simplified path to common areas of the admin panel.
“A lot of thought went into this project,” Hall said. “It was important to us that we make major improvements without changing things so much that long-time software customers would be shocked or confused when they logged into their new admin panel for the first time. So far the positive response has been overwhelming.”
Hall also said more updates and upgrades are on the horizon for 2014.
