YNOT – With mainstream resources like Craigslist and Backpage.com under assault by right-wing activists who demand they close their “adults-only” sections, consumers and sex workers alike are looking for new ways to market their wares.

Enter Los Angeles-based TorpedoesAway.com, a website that intends to fill the void with a directory of adult websites combined with a classified ads portal. The site specializes in personal ads, talent listings and job postings in the adult entertainment industry.

Launched in beta mode during June, TorpedoesAway.com allows users to post, browse and respond to any listing free of charge. The site also assists surfers in finding the entertainment they seek, utilizing a database of more than 100,000 premium adult videos. Users may sort content by several criteria.

“I thought you could find everything on Google or Yahoo, but this is way more precise and saves so much time with my searches,” Michael, a beta-tester said. “The free adult classifieds are the perfect complement to the amazing search functionality. I have not found a similar site that covers as many categories with such a clean and simple-to-use approach anywhere else on the internet.”

A spokesman for the site said safety was a high priority for TorpedoesAway’s developers.
