New E-Book Offers Advice on Starting a Porn Company
By Dennis Taylor
YNOT — Thinking of putting that tax refund into savings, or maybe paying off some debts? Start My Porn Company says it has a better idea: invest in your own porn production company. The company has released a new e-book titled ‘SMPC Porn Primer’ that it says is packed with important advice for starting an adult entertainment business.
The e-book download costs $19.68 from the company’s website.
“There are many industry professionals that have contributed information to the [e-book],” says SMPC founder Linda Roberts. “I am eternally grateful to the hundreds of great industry minds that have contributed their professional thoughts and experiences to the information that is presented in this book.”
Roberts lists contributors such as adult entertainment producers Michael Ninn, Otto Bauer, Frank Castle and Nic Andrews, as well as distribution companies like All Media Group and Coastline Licensing. She said the e-book also includes information on copyright laws and protecting an adult business from piracy, thanks to contributions from the law firm Pepper Law Group and the company Take Down Piracy.
“I am greatly impressed with the amount of industry knowledge and experience that the people involved with Start My Porn Company are willing to share with those new to the adult industry,” said Benic Way, who works with Offbeatr, a funding upstart. “The credibility of those involved can’t be denied, and if I was starting a production company, I would choose to get my information from SMPC.”
Sample documents are also present in the e-book, including a standard model release form and various documents related to record keeping requirements.
