New Custom Content Marketplace Launches
YNOT – A new content marketplace that allows buyers and sellers to connect and arrange for custom content creation has launched. According to the founders of the California-based company, Extra Lunch Money is “dedicated to buying and selling custom-created adult photos, videos and artwork.”
The ELM platform enables content creators to post descriptions of the types of materials they offer, whether already available or built to fit what a client seeks. When a buyer is interested, he or she makes direct contact with the seller and the two of them work out the terms of the deal.
Although initially designed as a portal for connecting amateur content producers with surfers, the site also facilitates interactions between amateur content producers and website owners.
“Traditionally porn has been one dimensional,” said Benic Way, co-founder of Extra Lunch Money. “We watch what studios decide to make for us, typically without our input. With ELM, buyers can not only find sellers willing to create content for them, but also can control the details so they get what they are looking for.”
In order to ensure quality and prevent scams, ELM staff must approve all sellers and custom jobs before they are allowed to use the system. Currently, Way said, only content producers who physically appear in their materials are allowed to sell on ELM. Third-party content creators are not allowed on the platform.
“We want to make sure that the people posting content for sale on ELM are actually the people who will be in the content and can interact with buyers,” Way said. “This way, the buyer knows when they are viewing a job it’s a real person, and they know whether the seller can accommodate their requests.”
Website owners, advertising agencies, and other companies looking for custom video or photo content are welcome to participate on ELM, Way added.
