New Community for Adult Cartoon Webmasters Launches
ALPENA, Mich. – Heads up, adult cartoon lovers, artists and publishers: ToonWebmasters.com, a new online community designed just for you, has launched.Following the general “niche-ing” trend in the adult entertainment industry, ToonWebmasters has staked out its territory on a promontory overlooking the vast, roiling sea of sexually explicit content. The number of artists, publishers and affiliate webmasters practicing in the space may not be huge, but they are a dedicated, creative, often irreverent bunch. It’s about time they had their own place to commune with like-minded others without wading through a writhing mass of people with whom they share some commonalities but from whom they also feel disconnected in many ways. At ToonWebmasters, cartoonists and adult cartoon devotees can share their triumphs and tragedies as well as give and receive help in areas that present unique challenges not only to their craft, but also to their marketing plans.
Launched by HentaiBiz.com, the new forum is geared toward educating and informing webmasters about the growing variety of cartoon affiliate programs and pay sites that exist in the adult industry. The board addresses all styles of cartoons, including anime, hentai, manga, 3D porn and traditional cartoon-style content. Among the features are a tutorials section that breaks down and explains cartoon niches, then provides tips about how to create work that will engage fans and attract publishers; an artists corner where cartoonists can spotlight their work and connect with sponsors looking for cartoon content, and a traffic forum where members can trade links and traffic with each other.
In the coming months, ToonWebmasters’ team plans to organize “build-a-longs” that will help members concept and create new ways to market their products. Developers also are building a community link-list to which all members can add their links and promos.
“ToonWebmasters.com fills a void in the adult webmaster community that has been in place for many years,” said Jason “Loki” Smith, a 13-year veteran of the adult toons biz. “It’s been hard for existing cartoon webmasters to locate and find both information and sponsors of cartoon content, and it has been an even bigger task to network with other cartoon webmasters and learn how to promote cartoon sponsors.
“ToonWebmasters.com aims to put an end to that problem by offering a community for sponsors, artists, affiliates and those looking to learn more about the adult cartoon market,” he said.
He also noted toon sites and affiliate programs can be moneymakers for those who understand the market. His V1rtualDesires Cash affiliate program, launched in 2001 to market 3D adult cartoon sites and now part of the BirdBucks.com sponsor program, retained members for an average of six to seven months. Members not only made the program profitable, but also drove the direction of the sites with their enthusiastic requests for certain types of content. That is one area in which Smith believes ToonWebmasters will be a boon to all sorts of cartoonists: The board will provide a central location where cartoonists and publishers can find resources to fill fans’ desires.
