New App Helps Adult Workers, Clients Find Each Other
YNOT – An Australian company has launched a mobile app designed to assist independent providers of adult services in locating new clients and staying connected with the ones they already have.
The app, created by Adult App Services Pty. Ltd., is free for consumers to download anonymously and install on cell phones and tablets, or they may use an online version. Functioning much like a directory, the app allows users to locate escorts, agencies, strip clubs, massage parlors, brothels, phone services, sex clubs and adult shops in their area. Listings are categorized for easy browsing, and a map function allows users to plot a course to those that allow mapping. Bookings may be accomplished directly through the app.
The listings are provided by advertisers, who create extensive profiles in order to give consumers an idea of the specific products and services they offer. Profiles include full-body or product photographs, 15- to 20-second promotional videos, contact information, availability details and other pertinent information, all of which is secure and revisable without charge at any time. Agencies may list a corporate profile and link that to profiles for the individual escorts, dancers or other service providers they represent.
“Any business or service provider in the adult services industry can attract and manage their clientele with AdultServicesApp.com,” a spokesperson said. “Adult industry workers save on advertising costs, while their customers can freely download the app with complete anonymity to find what they want, where they want, and book the service in an instant. There’s no need to find a local paper or trail through website search results.”
The spokesperson also said the app and the company behind it encourage safety among both consumers and service providers. To that end, Adult App Service Pty. Ltd. has created a Facebook page bearing advice about escorts and safety in addition to videos about everything from legalized prostitution to a Swedish sex worker speaking about the criminalization of clients. The page also includes a 1964 documentary about Sydney’s Kings Cross, a red-light district once known for its raucous music halls and grand theaters.
The app is available only to residents of and service providers operating in Australia right now, but the company plans expansion into other countries later this year.
