Naughty America Building “iTunes for Porn”
SAN DIEGO, CA — Naughty America — which not too long ago was engaged in developing one of the first 3D, interactive adult videogames — is stepping close to the edge of technology again, this time by building an online storefront that will allow consumers to purchase full-length, DRM-free adult scenes a la carte. The Adobe Air-based platform, dubbed Naughty America Direct, offers iPod- and iPhone-ready scenes for $1.99 apiece. No subscription is required, and so far the site is blessedly free of pop-ups and cross-sales. The Adobe Air undercarriage not only works with both Windows- and Mac-based PCs, but also enables a secure ordering system. (NA claims the app is the first to employ credit card security under Air.)
The interface is designed to appeal to users of Apple’s iTunes. Thumbnails clipped from featured movies line the main page, and a left-side navbar allows easy access to clips by category, favorite performer or fave NA website.
