Avast, Ye Scurvy Dogs! Naked Pirates off the Starboard Bow
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Sept. 19 may be International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but alt content producer BlueBlood prefers to think of the offbeat observance as Screw Like a Pirate Day, as well.
BlueBlood’s SpookyCash affiliate program has released erotic content with an “outlawry on the high seas” theme. Current SpookyCash affiliates already have received link codes for buccaneer galleries to be used as promotional material; new affiliates will receive the codes upon sign-up. The program pays 50-percent recurring revenue on 10 sites brimming with alt and Goth fantasies personified.
“These [pirate photo] sets were a lot of fun to shoot,” BlueBlood co-founder Amelia G said. “We shot the series of [model] Zelda specifically in anticipation of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. She had great pirate garb, and one of our site forum members contributed the amazing pirates’ cove setting.”
ITLAPD began as a parodic holiday in Albany, Ore., in 1995. Even creators John Baur and Mark Summers agree the idea was pure silliness, but somehow the notion “went viral.” A new unofficial annual observance was born.
The day is considered an official holiday by disciples of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or Pastafarians. Another parody that went viral, today the Church of the FSM is considered a genuine religion, even by detractors.
